ZOO Project description
ZOO is a WPS (Web Processing Service) open source project released under the MIT/X-11 license. It provides an OGC WPS compliant developer-friendly framework to create and chain WPS webservices. Its main goals are to gather existing open source librairies and to make them communicate in a standardized way, but also to simplify the end-developer's job by providing an easy method to create new webservices. The ZOO Project story
ZOO Project was created by Gerald FENOY, Nicolas BOZON and Venkatesh RAGAHAVAN in October 2008 during the FOSS4G Conference. Since that date, the desiging and development work have been done by the GeoLabs and 3LIZ companies, in collabration with the various ZOO sponsors and knowledge partners. ZOO Project was then presented at FOSS4G 2009, and during several conferences, meetings and workshops in Asia, Europe and Africa.
